LiveJournal alternative API (sort of)

If all you need is read-only access to the latest posts and friends of a user without having to do all the authentication the official API requires you can always use this: http://www.livejournal.com/bots/. I found the link while inspecting the formatting of LiveJournal RSS feeds.
